COVID-19 Travel Restrictions: Who can Travel to Canada?

Writer: Johnson Law Johnson Law

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

As we continue to ride the perpetuating wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada's travel and border restrictions remain in effect. Persons are eligible to travel to Canada if they meet the travel conditions and fall under one of the travel exemptions. It is also prudent for travellers to consult with their air carrier to confirm whether there are additional requirements and rules they ought to be aware of, prior to making travel arrangements.

Due to much confusion, the Government of Canada implemented an easy-to-use online tool to assist potential travellers in determining whether they can travel to Canada, and provides information on preparations that should be made for their arrival into the Country. Despite this, the website cautions that the tool is for information purposes only as a final decision on entry and quarantine is made at the port of entry.
